Tara’s doctoral thesis for Bournemouth University Centre of Digital Entertainment is called Animating Minority Cultures.

Tara is currently in production on a new half hour animation series called Tales of the Tribes where five stories from little known tribes in the remote Nagaland, Manipur, Sikkim and Arunachal provinces of the North East of India and one from the Gond tribe of Central India will be introduced by a cartoon version of Verrier Elwin the English anthropologist, friend of Gandhi, who lived for many years in the Gond village of Patangarh and later worked in the North East until his death in 1964.
